Those mask guys still reminds me of eyes wide shut
Keiwa is such a bad masked hero, although I guess it's not his fault his identity was revealed
No more Sara Rider? Boo! Tsumuri does the pose just to turn everyone else into a Kamen Rider? Boo x2!
It is kind of funny seeing the Riders fight each other with the plastic toy buckles
I do enjoy Regard's different eyes
At least not everyone is crazy and fighting each other as Riders
That's very battle royale of them. Kind of feels like they should have said this first, at least that'd bexplain why everyone is fighting at least
Geats's cgi claws are silly
Where was Nago during this? We haven't seen her do much since she got her fantasy buckle
Hey, Win and ponytail are in the fight
Everyone's favorite gamemaster is back! His poor hair, that mask and hood sure seems uncomfortable
Regard has a neat way of fighting
Nice to see Neon and her dad team up. The threatening of the rich people and eating their food was kind of silly. Still disappointed we're not getting any Nago action. But Takahashi sucks on that front, so what can you do
Kind of a forced way of recreating the opening. That's obviously black Tsumuri
Was an alright episode for a penultimate episode. It certainly felt paint by numbers considering all the major character moments have already happened by this point. It basically escalated the conflict (all people are Riders fighting now) with each of the main characters poking in to help out in some way or another
The only genuine surprise was seeing Girori appear again. Because everyone needed to get their bit part in, the time of the episode was pretty fractured among these characters and nothing truly stand-out happened. Good Geats VS Regard fight, but you can feel the rush toward the end in these last three episodes

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
only one episode left. I'm not ready for it to end.
interesting things to consider:
this has been the only arc in the show to have more than 8 episodes, all the others being 8 or less.
it's also the first arc to have its 8th episode be numbered 8, instead of F for finale, or some other letter(s) because that DGP doesn't get a standard ending.
it's also the first arc to end on a number, instead of F for finale, or some other letter(s) because that DGP doesn't get a standard ending, since this was Sousei X (10) and next week isn't Sousei XI or F or whatever.
something to really speculate about for the next week is that the very first episode of the show was Reimei/Daybreak F, which we'd guess from episode 2 being Encounter 1 and know for sure when we got to Encounter F, meant it was the finale of the Reimei arc, which naturally happened off screen before the show started.... and next week is Reimei/Daybreak 1.

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
It's what Tsumuri did in Episode 2 so it does fit with navigating this one (amongst other callbacks to the early episodes of the series).
Though after Win came back he only briefly appeared in Rider form in episode 37 and nothing since then in the series itself (though of course it wouldn't have happened when DaPaan was around).

Probably since Geats 9 wasn't introduced till this late. I'm guessing Daybreak will be the ideal world Ace wished for. If not, what have they been fighting for this whole time?

Ah, I remember they force transformed everyone, but didn't remember Tsumuri doing the pose to do it
Nitpick: Why did Keiwa's boss not bring up the broadcast earlier? Did Keiwa sneak into work, make the soba and bring it out to his sister without encountering his boss before then?

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
This episode was very big on explaining things after the fact. Not uncommon flashbacks to show the end to earlier scenes after a revelation, but it was a lot in this episode and more of the earlier scenes were shown the second time around than usual.
Haven't seen them together and with one not fighting as a Rider anymore, there wouldn't be an issue with who gets the Monster Buckle, which almost seems planned out timing wise so it's even weirder that Win hasn't henshined for a while.
Maybe in follow up material. Tsumuri's basically the Izu of this series and she does have creation powers like Ace so who knows.takenoko wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 6:53 pm No more Sara Rider? Boo! Tsumuri does the pose just to turn everyone else into a Kamen Rider? Boo x2!

This does seem to have suddenly became a issue of the privileged looking down on others rather than the human nature that shows when it comes to entertainment. Certainly a part of it and could've used to cap things off in the finale, but didn't seem to be led into as the lesson behind all of this.
Neon apparently got her hair done as it looks really different in this episode. Yeah, it's been growing as the series went on, but apparently she decided to change it once it grew out or enough of something.takenoko wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 6:53 pm Where was Nago during this? What about the great plot twist of the rain in the Opening actually coming from a sprinkler and indoors no less. Frankly, the setting and Sueru's Ark-esque use of the Buckles made this feel even more like the Aruto vs Horobi fight at the end of Zero-One.
It does feel like they were starting the ending with this, but the pacing's been a bit off since they started wrapping up storylines so it just feels like a slow introduction to the finale instead of the first part of it.

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
so here's something I'll be wondering about all week: how will the very end of the finale go?
what do we think is more likely:
a) the DGP restarts/starts in a new era and we get a quick glimpse of the new contestants (and Ace/future incarnation of Ace), final line being "Koko kara ga highlighto da."
or
b) the DGP is finally over for good, and we get like the ending of Ryuki where we catch glimpses of where a bunch of characters are now, while the OP plays over the credits scrolling on screen?
if b, how many characters from the course of the show do we think we'll see? like, will we just see the main crew, or will we go whole hog and also see like Ginpen, Mary, Keilow, Lopo, and such out and about, too?
started wondering about that after realizing I wanna know if we'll see Ben and John one last time.
also, free space on the bingo card is a quick cameo of someone picking up a Gotchard card and/or Gotchard grabbing a card from somewhere, probably a card of Geats.

I feel like the bad guys will be defeated, but they're still not in Ace's ideal world. So it ends on them taking the steps to make it the ideal world. It'll allow opportunity for spinoffs while still giving the good guys a certain win

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
I'm in the believe that even though it's a super hero show, things should still have to follow some kind of ground rules. Characters who have god-like powers and can pull random shit out of thin air with no explanation are just annoying. Ace and co., despite at a disadvantage, came up with a pretty good plan that played into each of their strengths to protect the citizens, infiltrate the enemy base, and depowered the enemy boss. Sueru just randomly pulled out "Reverse" out of no where that specially reversed only Ace's time was such a deus ex machina that felt so underwhelming.
Having said that, I'm happy that Toei acknowledged Girori was the viewers favorite GM and brought him back for one last time. Stayed in character too. He sided with Ace not because dude was the main character, but because he just wanted what was best for the DGP.
And I agree the Sunflower Jamato were weirdly adorable, especially the one that was pumped beside Punk Jack.

on the topic of the Jyamato, a fun little thing I saw in a discord I'm in (spoiler tagged because the image is a bit big):

Re: KR Geats 48 discussion thread
lol. I saw that post, too. love it.
also, here's a fun tweet I saw where they were interviewing Geats, Tycoon, and Buffa's actors, and Buffa's bemoaning having been Zombie all year and not getting a cool final form like Geats IX or Bujin Sword. https://twitter.com/Evelyn_Kanna18/stat ... 6200690841
apparently little kids visited the set and went "cool! it's Geats, Tycoon, and Zombie!"

Well, here's my theory: somehow the series will loop at the end of episode 49 to what we saw on episode 1
Why? 黎明 I (49) and 黎明 F (01)...
