So not only is this another cgi monstrsoity, but the passenger area for people is in the wheel?

lol Atropos's purposeful bad acting. It looks like Rinne threatened her with a nerf gun. Why is Rinne keeping this to herself?

How many ways are there of locating a Chemy Card? With have the phone, but we also have the bondmate psychicly calling out to them, and then we have Hopper1 just finding them randomly. Like it just seems like too many options

This story super sucks in that no one can be a believable character. The dad's over the top and the cactus is a terrible scene partner for the kid. Imagine how much more believable this storyline would have been if we had swapped out the cactus for Hopper1

ok, so DokkiriShovel gets to be an actual form? I wish I knew their decision making process for what can or can't work as a costume.

like, I'm still not 100% convinced DokkiriShovel, BurningGorilla, and VenomMariner were 100% planned to be forms, because they don't get fancy CGI henshin sequences in the flask like SteamHopper, AppareSkebow, AntWrestler, or even NeedleHawk, all of which ALSO get to have properly CGI wild forms that look like the armor rearranged into a form you could conceivably make as a toy, since that's what the gimmick is with the one Souchaku Henshin toy release we've gotten so far.

edit: also, am I just bad at recognizing faces, or was that Neon's actress in the next episode preview?

Between this and Geats Final Stage, it seems Clovers are popping up a lot.

Is this because of Faiz 20th (maybe Blade as well)?

Considering how much they're reusing everything and this show's been specifically put in the lower budget category, a lot of it was probably practicality so whatever concepts they came up with were likely put into groups of suit/CGI/both forms and arranged to not have too many of each in a row as much as possible.

Houtarou's yelling was grating. He used the same voice no matter what situation he was in. There's no emotion. I read somewhere that the directors knew his acting was not good but still cast him, because he was really enthusiastic and showed he really wanted to learn. He may improve drastically later down the line but it's really hard to deal with currently.

I don't know how I feel about this show caring more about the Chemys than the humans? Everything Houtarou did so far was to save the Chemys. Even when the Malgam was wreaking havoc he was there to save just the Chemy, not the people the Malgam was hurting. Yeah, humans sucks irl, but that's why I want the escapism of saving humans in my fictional shows.

Weren't the Chemy Cards suppose to hold the Chemys? How many times had SaboNeedle broke out now? They've ChemyCapture it three times already.

A giant motorbike that can break a sky-high fall, who would have thought... And it's vines, just pulled it off. You don't need a new form for it and a shovel isn't a blade.

The show's starting to slowly introduce deeper topics. Can't wait for Q2, where they got all the toys introduction out of the way and don't need to cramp them in every episode.

The girl in the preview reminds me of Kinoshita Ayane. I could be totally wrong of course

Most of my comments from last episode still apply here (except for the humor either being toned down or integrated into the story more effectively), so I don't have much to add this time. A young, naive idealist powering through a world of naysayers who scoff at friendship or coexistence can be incredibly effective when it's pulled off right, but it's really hard to pull off right. However, we've gotten episodes like the wrestling one out of the show already, so this felt more like a low point than a status quo. Still curious what Atropos's game was, figuratively or literally, but I doubt we've seen the last of it.

Honestly he's the one character I'm actually enjoing in the show. His fights are cool and he's hillariously edgy, yet somehow to me doesn't come off grating like those "rival who's better at everything" types can be. Maybe because he's not actually doing much

I choose option D) SmaPhone CAN receive calls completely normally (I think we even saw Houtarou use him that way last episode), but he's a living creature, so they couldn't reach Houtarou because SmaPhone was tired and taking a nap.

More than likely it's just something to give a nicer closure to this plotline. They can't actually let the boy have saboneedle because it needs to be a new card for our rider, yet it would feel weird if he would just walk away same as he was before after all this talk about friendship with saboneedle. Thus the boy gets something to remember him by, showing their connection.

I would have liked this episode a lot more if the Rinne stuff had gone anywhere. They basically teased the heck out of us last week, and then nothing much actually happened this week.

Other than Houtarou yelling. So, so much yelling.

Also, what's the context for the image on the TVN front page? I feel like I'm missing something here...
