It's genuinely kind of fun to see Ryuuga act as the teacher in this. It really shows how he's grown from the immature guy he was 10 years ago

Oh, so that's what this stuff from the preview was. Honestly wasn't expecting a b plot for this episode. How are they going to fit this in with the a plot?

Remember when Garo woudl just have Kouga messing around with a weird puck guy and that'd be the episode? I guess they felt like that wasn't enough, so we've got this b plot to set up the next episode. I think these are professional burlesque dancers too, so not sure why the choreography was so simple

Next week, we'll have to fight the Taskmaster of the Garoverse and maybe they'll do something with the stone? Maybe we'll get the trio or some Koyori too. One can dream. Not a bad episode, but not great either

So many questions about that burlesque segment: What caused Naomi to become a tragic heroine? Did Naomi have an inga before the start of the episode? If not, was the object that infected her Marie's lipstick? If Naomi becomes a MOTW will this monster dance while fighting?

Is this going to be like the call center and the DJ is the main horror?

I liked this episode a lot.

I guess she used to dance but fell into a shredder or something? Not sure why her left leg is so messed up. And also she has confidence issues? Honestly felt like the writing could have been sharper for the burlesque dance stuff

Huh. I guess that's possible, but I feel like if that were the case there'd be more clear evidence of it

I was incredibly sad to find that Mari and Naomi were not the Faiz and DenO ones.

I was really into the first couple episodes of this series, but the last few episodes have been pointless. It feels like the writers changed. The “villain” for this episode felt like a thief from Golden Axe, that you chase for magic or health. Completely silly. And I’m still trying to connect the dots from the Gold Storm Tool-Villain and why the Hagane look like him.

It’s starting to hit home that none of the previously established characters exist either. No Ryume, D-Ringo and wife, the other knights, and most blatantly-Rian. No mention of any of them. It’s like this is a spin off series that uses Ryuga’s name and likeness and forgets the rest.

Really hoping next one gets back on track to being a Garo feeling episode.

^ This does feel kind of like a small third party realized YwTM was 10 years old, asked Amemiya really nicely, and could only afford Ryuuga, Zaruba, and the Gold Storm suit (and maybe a paintbrush prop or two). Even the music and sting ubiquitous in the last show is absent here, and the premise of Ryuuga taking a trip to Creacity feels like an effort to explain why none of the other characters are around.

I'm also unsure if an anniversary series being a year late means anything, but Retsuden was also a 10th Anniversary series that aired 11 years after, so I guess it's more of a curiosity.
