Q2 is coming to an end. Cannonborg is going to bite it soon.

So because ByunDi had been loitering around town, they're not afraid to bring BoonBoom out in public anymore?

"Looks right"? Mira, that's not how you mark homework.

When they said they wanted to meet Mahiro-sensei, everyone looked interested except Shashiro. He looked concerned. A small detail that showed it's his job to know everything. And because ByunDi being an alien didn't seem to get the hint, he stopped ByunDi from leaving, probably to tell him directly what Taiya meant.

In the park where Sakito collapsed, ByunDi's suit can't kneel so he basically just smacked onto the floor.

So we learned Taiya was a shy kid and learned to be with different kinds of people, which was why he assembled this team of weirdos.

Water creating rainbows and emergency vehicles don't need to stop at red lights. Even after the "fiery" trilogy, they still managed to find ways to tie to the power-up.

All of them joining in the song with Taiya at the end was a nice peaceful little moment.

This story was planned by combining two ideas. Making use of Iuchi-kun's hobby of playing the guitar, and screenwriter Morichi wanting to write about Taiya's first love.

Mahiro-sensei was played by Matsunaga Arisa. Matsunaga-san is an extremely talented actor who played Queen Jamato in the Kamen Rider Geats V-Cinema movie.
The difference between the normal, kind Mahiro-sensei and the phantom Mahiro-sensei who appears in the second half of the series was small, and the phantom Mahiro-sensei is not particularly evil, so we had to create a sense of incongruity. Matsunaga-san took on the role and played this difficult role brilliantly.

Hori Miyabi played kid Taiya. When auditioning, facial expression and acting ability are of course important factors. But more than that, take a look at his name. It had the character "陽" (hikari/light) in it, just like Iuchi Haruhi! That was the deciding factor! (I'm kidding)

Ms. Fujii, the lady in charged who greeted Taiya's group, was played by Ochiai Hitomi. She was amazing at handling the children and alumnus Taiya. That's right, Ochiai-san is a real teacher who juggles two jobs. She's an actor and also works at an after-school facility!
We thought this couldn't be a better casting choice, so we contacted her. She brought toys made from paper cups and milk cartons that are actually used at the after-school facility for the costume fitting. The apron she worn in the play was also her own. She worked tirelessly on set to care for the many children we had, so thank you very much!!

Let's talk more about the "song", the theming of this episode. When discussing what song Taiya should play during the scriptwriting meetings, as it will play in the show, concerns about copyrights arise. In the end the song proposed was "Rainbow", a classic song that any kid these days knows.
Director Hayama and Producer Kuji both have children, so this song naturally became a candidate. Director Hayama was apparently moved by the choir singing at his child's graduation ceremony, so the story was chosen with those real parents opinions.

As they were talking about Mihiro-sensei, Taiya joined the conversation with a wry smile.
"She's gone far away."
By "far away," I don't mean a job transfer or moving, as adults should be able to understand. As this program is watched by many children, I've paraphrased it assuming that there are children in similar situations. But for Taiya, it meant a sad memory.

When the atmosphere becomes a little awkward, Shasiro quickly follows up by saying, "It's about time to play in the park."
"Playing in the park" was ranked 12th most common said phrase, and one that Shasiro would never say if the situation hadn't turned out like this.
Nice one, Shasiro!

In Sakito's dream, his friend Kakeru appeared. Sakito's actor said he thought it would be best for Sakito to face Kakeru properly, even if it was just an illusion, because he took off into space without saying a word. So in the scene he apologized to Kakeru gently, and explained he didn't regret the decision.

"When you're with people who radiates different colors than you, the world becomes more colorful and more interesting."
This is a phrase that is the core value of the Super Sentai series. Super Sentai is a colorful and interesting world where colorful warriors join hands but also sometimes clash with each other. It is the same in the real world. The world is interesting because everyone is different!

By the way, while Sakito made eye contact with Kakeru before leaving, Taiya didn't. Iuchi-kun tried to turn back to face Mahiro-sensei during a shoot, but Director Hayama asked him to look straight ahead.
"It's really interesting right now," Taiya said. He was happy now so he didn't need to look back on the illusion.
Mahiro-sensei accepted it and let go of his hand. What kind of expression did Mahiro-sensei have at that moment? We didn't show this on screen, we'll leave that to your imagination!

When Taiya woke up, BoobBoom held out his hand to help him stand up. While when Sakito try to stand up, ByunDi rushed over instead. It was a pretty good contrast.

Guitar Gurumaa was voiced by Hayashi Yuu, who is well known for his role as Mikey in Tokyo Revengers.
He yelled, "Anyone not excited?! Nope!!"
Did that line sound familiar?! No? It's probably just my imagination.
By the way, the sound effects playing behind this line was the sound of a motorcycle engine, even though it's a guitar. And that engine sound is apparently the sound of a Honda Hawk CB250T.
(Note: The line was a rephrase of Mikey's catchphrase, and CB250T was Mikey's motorcycle.)

A bouquet was shown in the staff room at the end. This was the delivery that Taiya delivered earlier.
- The colors of the roses are blue, pink, black, orange, and purple, representing the rangers.
- The wrapping and ribbon were red and white, which represent Bundurio.
- The floriography of five roses was "I'm glad I met you."
Taiya probably came to deliver a message to Mahiro-sensei saying, "Things are really fun right now." This message was also clearly stated in the script.


PS.
They broke out the tambourine, megaphone, recorder, maracas... There's also a bicycle trumpet and fluffy duster. Even with all these items they still didn't wake up... Mira and the others must be very worried!

今回の話は「井内くんの趣味であるギターを活かせる回をやろう」というアイディアと、脚本森地さんの「大也の初恋を書きたい」という挙手が重なり企画されたお話でした。

彼女こそ大也の初恋、上重まひろ先生です。
演じてくださったのは松永有紗さん。
松永さんは『仮面ライダーギーツ』のVシネクストで
クイーンジャマトを演じてくださった非常にお芝居の上手い俳優さんです。
普段の優しいまひろ先生と、後半で登場する幻のまひろ先生。
その二つの差は小さく、幻も特段悪役ではない中で違和感を出さねばならない。そこはもう演技力に信頼のある松永さんに受けていただき、見事に難しい役どころを演じきってくださいました。

少年時代の大也を演じてくださったのは堀雅陽さん。
幼少期のオーディションは顔の雰囲気や演技力はもちろん重要な要素ですが、
それより見てください、彼の名前には井内悠陽と同じ“陽”の字が！
これが決め手です(ウソです)。

迎えてくれたのは大也少年が通っていた当時から職員を務めていた藤井先生。
演じてくださったのは落合ひとみさんです。
子供やOBである大也の扱いがうますぎる！！
そうです、なんと落合さんは俳優業と学童施設職員の二足のわらじを履く本物の先生なのです！
これ以上ないキャスティングと思いお声がけさせていただいた所、
衣裳合わせには実際に学童で使っている紙コップや牛乳パックを用いたオモチャなどを持ってきて提供してくださいました。
ちなみに今回劇中で着用しているエプロンもご本人のもの。
現場ではたくさんの子供たちのケアをしてくださり、八面六臂の大活躍でした、ありがとうございました！！

今回のテーマの一つでもある
“歌”についてもう少し深掘りさせてください。
ホン打ちで大也が歌う曲を何にするか、という議題のターン。
番組をコンテンツとして扱う以上権利周りの懸念点なども出てきます。
そこで一旦仮の楽曲として上がったのが
最近の子なら誰もが知る名曲、『にじ』でした。
葉山監督と久慈Pはお子様がいらっしゃるので自然とこの楽曲が候補になりました。
葉山監督はお子様の卒園式の合唱でグッときたものがあったそうで、
そういったリアルな親としての意見も取り入れた話作りになっています。

しかし話に加わっていた大也の顔は曇り、
「遠くに、行っちゃったんだ」と苦笑い。
“遠く”とは転勤や引っ越しではありません、大人の皆様は察していただければと思います。
当番組はお子様が多く観る番組ですので
実際にそういった境遇のお子様もいると想定して言い換えていますが、
大也にとっては一つの悲しい思い出があったということです。

そしてやや気まずい空気が流れると、シャーシロがすかさず
「そろそろ公園遊びの時間じゃないか」とフォローを入れます。
こんな事態になってなければシャーシロの口から飛び出さない言葉ランキング12位「公園遊び」。
でも、ナイスだぜシャーシロ。
と思ったのも束の間。

タンバリン、メガホン、リコーダー、マラカス…。
他にもパフパフとかモフモフとか。
これほどのアイテムをもってしても起きないとは…ギターグルマー手強し！
ミラたちもかなり心配していることでしょう。
(してないかも…！！)

ここまでは10歳の頃の記憶通りの状況です。
しかしそこに唯一の友人であったカケルが登場。
「悪いな」と、今まで聞いたことのないような
優しい声でカケルに言葉を返します。
後にザワくんは「一度カケルとちゃんと向き合った方が良いと思った」と言っていました。
たしかに、唯一の友人であったにも関わらず何も言わずに宇宙に飛び立ったのです。一つ言葉をかけて清算したかったのかもしれませんね、それがギターグルマーが生み出した幻だとしても。
そして続く言葉は、
「俺はあの時選んだ道を間違いだとは思わねえ」

「自分と違う色を持った人が一緒だと、世界はカラフルでもっともっと面白くなるよ」
スーパー戦隊シリーズを象徴するような言葉です。
言葉の通り、スーパー戦隊は色とりどりの戦士が手を取り、時にはぶつかり合う、カラフルで面白い世界です。そしてこれは現実世界でも同じこと。世界は十人十色だからこそ面白い！

ちなみに、先斗がカケルに対して目線を合わせたのに対し大也は一度も振り返りません。
井内くんは振り返るパターンも試したのですが、ここは葉山監督がまっすぐ前だけを見ていてほしいとオーダー。
大也は「今、すっごく面白い」ので幻は振り返らないということです。
まひろ先生、それを受けて手を離します。
その時、まひろ先生はどんな顔をしていたのか。
それは演出として映しませんでしたが…想像にお任せいたします…！

ちなみに大也が立ち上がるとブンブンが手を差し伸べるのですが、
先斗が起きてすぐに駆け寄ったのはビュンディーでした。
かなり良い対比になっているので配信等で是非ご確認ください。

お声を担当されたのは東京卍リベンジャーズのマイキー役でおなじみの林勇さん。
「盛り上がってねえ奴いる〜？ いねーよなぁ！！」と会場を煽っています。
な、なんか聞き覚えのあるセリフ…！？
いやちょっと違うか…気のせいでしょう。
ちなみにこのセリフの裏にかかるSEが
ギターグルマーなのに何故かバイクのエンジン音。
しかもそのエンジン音はHONDA HAWK CB250T、通称バブの音らしい。

最後に職員室にあるブーケが映ります。
これは冒頭で大也が藤井先生に渡していた届け物。
薔薇の花の色は「青、ピンク、黒、オレンジ、紫」。
包装とリボンは赤と白、これはきっとブンドリオ。
大也はまひろ先生に「今、すっごく面白いよ」というメッセージを届けにきていたのでしょう。
そして5本の薔薇の花言葉は「あなたに出会えてよかった」。
これは台本にも明記されているメッセージです。
この言葉は仲間たちに贈ったのか、はたまたまひろ先生に贈ったのか。
それは大也しか知らないことですね。

Seeing that stageshow image of Drive with the Tire People reminds me that we're likely not getting a crossover movie/special, which makes me sad.

Episode was fine, though nothing special. Did find it strange that Sakito and Byundi didn't contribute to the final fight.
