Didn't this happen with the last Mira episode? Ostensibly it's about her, but what she actually does in it doesn't really tell the audience much about her character other than she's well meaning. At least she's fighting well

Is this episode about helping the owner understand how to make curry? Because I don't think it achieve that? All the thinking and cooking was done by Mira. It was Mira who learned how to make the curry.

It did successfully made me hungry for curry though. Japanese curry are awesome, not too spicy and taste really good with beef or chicken and assorted veges.

Nice filming angles hiding ByunDi who can't actually eat the curry.

Is... is that an insert song about curry sang by Boondario at the end there...?

Homage to Goranger
The name of the curry place was "Curry Shop Gon". It was of course a different shop from the famous "Snack Gon". The fact that the logo was dotted with stars was probably just a coincidence. If you think the previous owner's outfit looks like Snack Gon's, that's a coincidence. The Curry Shop owner's daughter, Edogawa Reika, had taken over the business. Whether she's related to Edogawa Gonpachi or not is up to your imagination.

TL note:
- Goranger's logo is full of stars.
- Snack Gon was a front for Goranger's secret base, with curry as its famous dish.
- Curry Shop Gon's previous owner resembled Snack Gon's Edogawa Gonpachi, Goranger's commander and the shop's manager.
- Curry Shop Gon's daughter's surname was Edogawa.



The Curry Shop
The current store owner, Reika, was played by Hirata Kaoru. She played Yamazaki (Magired's crush) from Mahou Sentai Magiranger! She's returned to the Super Sentai series once again. Thank you so much!!


There was a long line at the rival store Hashiriya Curry. Oh, was that the payday lady from episode 19?


It's not the black curry from a certain cooking manga, but...

The fast-forwarded overhead shot of the four Boonboomgers eating at the table was filmed by having the cast members actually eat the food. Just between you and me here, but Miyazawa-san (Boom Violet), who seemed the most relaxed and took the longest to finish eating... I guess that's what makes him lovable.


The Clock Gurumaa
In Bakuage 3, the original Clock Gurumaa used an outdated attack with a "10:10 slash", but was defeated by a counterattack "9:15 slash" that was more suited for the modern era. This was based on the hand position taught in driving school when holding the steering wheel. Learning from that mistake, Clock Gurumaa Seconds mastered the "9:15 cut". But it was still no use.

さて、ライバル店「ハシリ屋カレー」の様子を見に行くと、そこには長蛇の列が。あれ、給料日のお姉さん…？

某料理漫画のブラックカレーではありませんが…。

ちなみに4人が食べている場面の早送り俯瞰ショット、キャストの皆さんに実際に食べていただいたのを撮影しているのですが、最も余裕ぶっていた宮澤さんが一番食べるのに時間がかかった…のはここだけの話です。そういうところが愛されポイントなのでしょうね

ブンブンジャーロボ119vsトケイグルマー・セカンズ。
バクアゲ3で、初代トケイグルマーは「10時10分斬り」と時代遅れな攻撃をし、今の時代に合った「9時15分斬り」の反撃を受けて散っていきました（※教習所で習う、ハンドルを持つときの手の位置になぞらえています。詳しくはバクアゲ3のバクレポをご参照くださいませ）。そのときの反省を生かし、「9時15分斬り」をマスターしたセカンズ。が、甘い。

I always noticed this with Boondario, but are also starting to see it in ByunDi asking Sakito who he's talking to. Are the robots in this show (again, how are you guys not robots?) doing the Deadpool fourth wall breaking thing?

She's not. You see the father in the flashback and the name of her father on the notes is clearly visible in the bottom right. Homage, not world building

Black curry, curry made to black color with black sesame or other similar coloring ingredients. The manga the blog's talking about is probably Ajihei the Cook (包丁人味平) since its Japan's first cooking manga. No confirmation though.

I liked this episode a lot! The premise is pretty ridiculous, even for this show's standards, but I found it creative at least. Though, you would think Disrace would have a better job for the time manipulation monster than putting him on curry duty. This episode, Taiya is basically completely helpless the entire time, which is a nice change of pace when he usually has all the answers. We don't really learn anything new about Mira, but watching her take the spotlight from Taiya was entertaining in it's own way!
