Mochi gochizo when

Cool birdman monster. Rip that kid they were talking about

Considering the Stomach aren't picky about their victims, it's strange that people in this world aren't panicked about so many people going missing

Oh yeah, having a Gochizo follow a Granuto, then have it lead you back gives the Granuto a lot of time to escape

Kirameisilver is lucky he wasn't buried in rubble. That sure would have taken his cool guy factor down a notch

I sorta hate these archetypes that are so nihlist that they hate everything. You're not getting any points for having "lame" as your catchphrase

That said, his Rider form and first battle are suitably cool. Let's just hope his personality gets an upgrade out of the Pokemon saying one word catchphrase level

Some thoughts I had after watching

It's interesting that they had the scam class earlier, since the bird person is doing a classic good samaritan trap. Speaking of which, do we assign the gender of the Granuto based on the voice (assuming that's the true form/voice) and assume the female human form is just a disguise?

My other thought was I appreciate that the major drama from the main characters comes from the fact that they're smart and have good intentions. Hanto definitely knows Shouma is hiding something, but reprimands himself for being suspicious. Meanwhile Shouma knows that revealing that he's a Granuto to Hanto would be a bad idea based on Hanto's past trauma with them. It's a nice breath of fresh air from the drama coming from everyone acting as idiotic as possible for no reason

Vlam's debut is here and he's cool, i liked that knee slide thing onto his feet that he did.
Would be nice for the show to do a subversion in the future when Hanto finally learns that Shoma is a Granuto and he's fine with it cause Shoma's been proving himself this whole time but we're gonna get the multi episode acceptance story arc aren't we, just dont drag it out any longer than the usual 2 parter please.

Raage9 grabbed a courtroom full of middle age guys, a cinema full of young people, and now a classroom full of elders. It just shows he doesn't care who he's taking.

Raage9's method is terrifying. You're just going on about your day, then you're gone. People are disappearing in masses. With his debut the tone has shifted from the brightly colorful to pretty grim. Seeing the victims' families and friends agonizing over their love ones suddenly disappearing were just heartbreaking.

Nyelv is sharp as always, realizing Raage9 has another goal other than getting Dark Candys.

Finally transforms! Kamen Rider Vram

The distinctive feature of Kamen Rider Vram is that he tranforms from a Granuto. We started by examining whether the transformation belt fits into the mouth in Granuto's stomach. The action also makes use of the Raage9's characteristics of Lage 9. Action Director Fujita's action sequence with slow-motion camerawork was so cool! Suit actor Eitoku-san's display of arrogant attitude was also wonderful.

The names Vram and Vrastum Gear came from "Frustum". It's a truncated cone, like the container for cup desserts such as puddings. The naming idea came from Ishimori Productions' Shinichi Kaneko-san. He also gave us ideas for Granuto's name such as the crab "Rojou". He is knowledgeable and imaginative. Whenever a topic comes up during a script meeting, such as "This scene with this rider, this form...", Kaneko can instantly tell us which rider and which scene it is. He's amazing!

Vram's transformation scene: The completion of the giant pudding and the addition of the spoon at the end were the result of the genius imagination of Special Effects Director Butsuda-san. The transformation scene was handled by the CG team at the Special Effects Research Institute.

This episode is the first time where Raage9 transforms into Vram. Director Shibasaki said, "Because it's the first time, we should show him transforming from his Granuto form!"

It's a really big sequence of taking things off and putting them on.

Suit actor Eitoku-san was in charge of both the Granuto form and the Vram Rider form, so the stop-change cut at the moment of transformation (where the actor is in the same position before and after transformation) was also done by Eitoku-san. Well, that's something he had done a lot with Vice (lol)

I never knew pudding could look this cool... the power of design is incredible.

ついに変身！仮面ライダーヴラム
仮面ライダーヴラムの特徴は、グラニュートが変身すること。
変身ベルトは、グラニュートのお腹の口に入るのか？という検証からスタート。アクションもラーゲ９の特徴を生かしています。
スローモーションを生かしたカメラワークで、容赦ない強さを表現する藤田アクション。
文句なしのカッコよさですね！
スーツアクター永徳さんが演じるふてぶてしさも素敵です。

ヴラム、ヴラスタムギア（変身ベルト）の名前の由来は錐台（フラスタム）から来ています。プリン等のカップデザートの容器イメージ～円錐台です。
ネーミングアイデアは石森プロ、金子しん一さんから。
グラニュートの名前、カニの「ロジョー」等のアイデアもいただいています。博識で想像力豊かでいらっしゃいます。金子さんは、「ライダーのこういうシーン、こういうフォームって…」と脚本打合せで話題に出ると瞬時にどのライダーの、どの場面かを教えてくれます。凄すぎる！

ヴラムの変身シーン。
巨大プリンが完成したり、最後にスプーンが付くなどは、特撮監督佛田さんの天才的イマジネーションによるもの。変身シーンは、特撮研究所のCG班が担当しています。

初めてラーゲ９からヴラムに変身するシーン。
柴﨑監督の、最初だからこそグラニュートの姿から変身するのを見せるべし！という一声があり、

黒い外套を脱ぐ
→人間擬態解いてグラニュート態へ
→ベルトを巻く
→変身
という脱いだり着たり？大盤振る舞いシークエンスです。

グラニュート態もヴラムも永徳さんが担当なので、変身の瞬間のストップチェンジのカット（変身前後の役者が同じ位置に入って撮影する）も永徳さんリレー。
まあ、バイスでさんざんやってらっしゃることですね(笑)

プリンってここまでかっこよくなるんですね…もうデザインの力ってすごい。

Viam has one of, if not the best, "Y'all ain't nothing to me" debut fights I've seen in a long time. The absolute disrespect this man showed Valen and Gavv needs to be studied for future generations, cause ho-lee shit, was it good.

This episode took too long to reveal Vlam. While other Granutos are still working, we didn't get much time for the new Rider. At best this was an episode that ran short, and they introduced the new Rider to fill things out because they didn't know when to reveal the main attraction.

Vlam is definitely very powerful, but Gavv and Valen are also some of the weakest riders ever. We need power levels to show improvements and that some threats are bigger than expected. When Vlam transformed, I definitely would've made a its over 9000 reference.

I was worried about that too. It felt like it'd be too easy to accidentally mistime it so you'd hit your spotter
