Seriously though, I loved that Gokai Change. I hope that is the actual recording they use in the new Mobirates for the Boonboomger sound. Plus Joe is a bit more interesting than yet another Marvelous appearance, and it actually ties into the story. Huzzah!

I feel this cameo was integrated better than the others, paralleling the points of the trust between Red and Blue, and kept chasing your dreams even when the world was against you being major plot points of Gokaigers.
It's portrayed here that Shashiro, who has been investivating ISA, jumped ship because he discovered an evil so great that it's unstoppable. It's mighty obvious that it's just an act. It was also shown that Taiya and Shashiro can communicate just by looking at each other, so I'm pretty sure Taiya caught on and played along. Shashiro is also Taiya's biggest fan ever existed, so there's no way he'd betray Taiya.
Happy that they referenced Gokaiger's great power from Ten Gokaiger.
Lol it's going to be a running joke of Sakito ripping out the original robot's controller and installing his own.
Why did ByunDi straight-up turned into GokaiOh? The DX Robo Universe toys, which ByunDi and GokaiOh are part of, promotes interchanging robot parts. ByunDi fully turning into CGI GokaiOh doesn't really promote that selling point.

A New Year's gift for everyone in 2025! The arrival of GokaiBlue!!!!!!
The final scene was what everyone has been waiting for. Yamada Yuki-san makes an appearance as himself.
He's a hugely popular actor so of course his schedule was fully booked. But when we asked him, he immediately accepted. He would often say "Of course I'm coming back. I'll definitely come no matter how many years have passed. It's my debut role after all." It made us very happy too. Seeing him talking with Producers Utsunomiya, Mochizuki and Director Nakazawa, he was so easy to approach you wouldn't have guessed he's such a hugely popular actor.
By the way, the blue leather jacket was from the costume he wore back then. The surface had become worn and torn over the years, so we had prepared a replacement. But when it came time to change, Yamadasan said, "No, I prefer the one from back then. This will do just fine," and put on the original. It was wonderful to see his strong love for the series...!!
As for Iuchi-kun (Taiya)... He was absolutely nervous before acting with Yamada-san, who is also a senior at his agency. I've never seen Iuchi-kun this nervous before. Director Nakazawa needed to massage his shoulders and told him to relax. It can't be helped, since he's acting alongside the hero he watched as a child.
Now that I think about it, someone said in a meeting one day, "The relationship between Taiya and Shashiro is like that of Marvelous and Joe." So when Shashiro is missing, it's a good time for Joe to reach out to Taiya. With that in mind, we asked Yamada Yuki-san to join us for this story.
The triumphant return of the Blue Pirate!
Of course, it's Director Nakazawa who was directing this spectacular episode. He was the main director of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and the recently "Ten Gokaiger"!
GokaiBlue put his left hand behind his waist and slashes, slashes and slashes. Wow, so cool! I'm sure there are many people who like Joe. He's silent, strong, and loyal to his captain. To be able to see him in action again on TV is most explosive!
Taiya and Joe stood back to back. For Joe, entrusting his back to another meant a lot. The reason he allowed Taiya to watch his back, which he would never do to a man he couldn't trust, may be because he saw something similar to the Marvelous in Taiya. Taiya held onto the wheel (or in Gokai terms, the helm) even when he became the enemy of the world. He even smiled and said, "That's explosive!"
When Taiya said, "It doesn't feel like this is first time we've met," Joe replied, "No? It's the first time."
Are you talking about the person inside the suit?? (**Note: The two actors are in the same agency)
Did that dialogue bothered you too? I can understand why Taiya would call out to him jokingly, but Joe's response was cold. This scene would work even without this conversation, right? When I mentioned this to Producer Kuji, he said, "Director Nakazawa added this part. I also thought it was a strange exchange, so I asked him what it meant..." Director Nakazawa said, "Joe says normal things in a normal way, without any intonation."
I see! Joe did indeed respond straightly, without playing with words. He said "No, it's the first time" because he thought "No, it's the first time"...
He doesn't make any clever jokes or act like he's a senior, or to put it bluntly, that sense of not understanding jokes is what makes him "Joe Gibken." This direction was a "play the character" that only Director Nakazawa, who had spent a year creating Joe, could pull off. Indeed, Yamada-san recorded the line very naturally, which means that, just like Director Nakazawa, he understood what kind of guy Joe was.

Suzuki Miu-san (BoonPink) is good at calligraphy, and even has a license as a master teacher. We thought it would be a perfect opportunity for Suzuki-san to show off her special skills, so we asked her to write some calligraphy for us.
Then Jou came rushing in with a big styrofoam box. These scallops and salmon were kindly provided by Hokkaido Gyoren, and they were super fresh, having traveled across the ocean to the filming location in Nerima. (※We also had salmon, but it arrived little late...)
Comedy duo
These two are a comedy duo called Teikoku Taxi (帝国タクシー). I knew one of the member Peisu Tsuji-san (right), so I asked them to join us.
When we were fitting the costumes, Director Nakazawa suggested, "It might be funny if only the hat remained," and so it turned out like this. And even though they were all dressed up, the pants had the same pattern, so in the end they were similar. (By the way, this was my first time fitting pants for a costume.)
Sorry for leaving you naked on a winter morning, Tsuji-san! But thank you!

豪快なエピソードを演出するのはもちろん中澤監督でございます。
『海賊戦隊ゴーカイジャー』のメイン監督、
最近では『テン・ゴーカイジャー』も撮られていますね！
左手を腰に回して斬る斬る斬る。
はぁカッコ良い…。
ジョーに狂わされた人はたくさんいるかと思います。
寡黙で強くて船長に忠義を尽くす…この活躍がまたテレビで観られるなんて
最ッ高のバクアゲです！
そして背中合わせになる大也とジョー。
ジョーにとって背中を見せるというのは大きな意味があります。
信頼できない男には絶対に見せないその背中を許したのは、
世界の敵になろうともハンドル、
ゴーカイに言えば舵輪を握り「バクアゲだ」と笑みすら見せる大也に
船長に似た何かを見たからなのかもしれません。
そして「初めて会った気がしないな」と言う大也に
「いいや？初めてだ」と返すジョー。
それは中の人の話ですか？？というのは冗談で…。
実際、ここのセリフのやりとり何か引っかかりませんでしたか？
大也がキザに声をかけるのは理解できるにしても、
(ジョーの返しがそっけないな。この会話なくてもシーンとして成立はするのでは？)と、僕は正直そう思ったんです。
その話を久慈Pにしたところ、
「このくだり中澤監督が足したんだよね。俺も不思議なやりとりだなと思って意味を聞いてみたら…」
中澤監督曰く、
「ジョーは普通のことを普通に言うんだ、抑揚もなく」とのこと。
な〜るほど！
たしかにジョーは飾らず正直に返しています。
「いいや、初めてだ」と思ったから「いいや、初めてだ」と言っている…。
ここで気の利いたジョークを言ったり大袈裟に先輩ぶったりしない、
悪く言えば冗談の通じない感じが“ジョー・ギブケン”だと言うのです。
この演出、かつて1年間ジョーを作り上げてきた中澤監督だからこそやれた「キャラの遊び」だったんです。
たしかにアフレコで山田さんもなんの違和感も抱かずに声を入れられており、
そこは中澤監督と同じで「ジョーってこういう奴」が言わずもがな通じていたってことですよね。

■凱旋、青い海賊！
ラストシーンでは皆さんお待ちかね。
山田裕貴さんが顔出し出演をしてくださりました。
今やその名を知らない人はいない大人気俳優、
もちろんスケジュールはパンパンの活躍をされています。
しかしお声がけしたところ即座に引き受けてくださりました。
現場でも度々「来るに決まってるじゃないですか。何年後でも絶対来ますよ、僕のデビュー作ですから」と言っていて、こちらもすごく嬉しかったです。
当時の宇都宮Pや望月Pも現場を覗きに来たのですが、
中澤監督も交え会話をしている姿は、
大人気の役者さんということを感じさせないフランクさで…。
ちなみにブルーの革ジャンは当時の衣裳を使用しています。
長年の経年劣化で表面がボロボロになってきていたので
一応似ている代用品も用意しておいたのですが、
着替えの時には「いや、当時のが良いです。これくらい大丈夫です」とオリジナルの方に袖を通してくださり。
強い作品愛を感じて、素敵でした…！！
井内くんはというと…
事務所の大先輩でもある山田さんとのお芝居を前にガッチガチでした。
こんなに緊張している井内くんは後にも先にも見たことがありません。
中澤監督に肩を揉まれ「リラ〜ックス」と声をかけられていました。
仕方ないですよね、子供の頃に観てたヒーローが目の前にいて共演するんですから。
そう言えばいつかの打ち合わせで誰かが言いました。
大也と射士郎の関係ってマーベラスとジョーみたいだよね、と。
その射士郎というピースが欠けた時、
大也に声をかけるのはジョーが良いのではないか。
そんな想いもあり、お声がけさせていただいた山田裕貴さん。

鈴木美羽さんは書道が得意で、
なんと師範代の資格も持っているそう。
そんな鈴木さんの特技披露の場に
書き初めはもってこいじゃ！ということでしたためていただきました。
そこに大きな発泡スチロール箱を抱えて飛び込んできたのは錠。
(※シャケもあるけど少し遅いな…)
こちらのホタテやシャケは北海道ぎょれん様がご協力を名乗り出てくださり、
海を越えて練馬の撮影所までやってきたド新鮮なヤツです。
どうもありがとうございました！！（サモーンの力か…？）

I mean it probably just worked out for Toei that they were able to get Yamada to come back as Blue. (Probably didn't hurt that he and Boom Red are in the same agency).
They had Marvelous, Ahim, and uhhh Gai in Tsuukai VS Gokai. And Marvelous and Luka were in Super Sentai Saikyou Battle, so it only made sense to give Joe a turn. Doc, we're coming for you next

Someone pointed out that Shashiro wasn't at the Ending song. At least for the part in the beginning, they covered him upwith Sakito's bubble. That's pretty clever.
