I didn't realize just how funny and dumb that line is when it stands alone. And what sort of bounty hunter collects buttons? I guess they can't have him collecting teeth, with it being a kids' show though.

Since I'm obsessed with Kato Keisuke I'm going to be very biased towards Nago Keisuke, but I think he's going to be awesome. I'm so looking forward to when and if he learns that Wataru is Kiva.

I'm wondering why Wataru is such a wimp, but not so when he transforms. Does Kivat take over? It's like he loses all personality when he's Kiva.

I usually hate characters like Otoya, but he's very entertaining. Not a dumb pushover, he's actually pretty smart. If he's not around Yuri.

It kinda looks like he becomes an emotionless fighter when he transforms, I dunno. Maybe the Kiva system completely removes emotion so that the user doesn't have to worry or be scared about anything. At least it seemed that way until Kiva failed to finish off the Fangire.

I think her hair is awesome. XD Then again, I love the 80s/early 90s retro looks. That's one thing that has me "hooked" on this series.

As for Wataru being "wimpy", maybe it's because he realizes there's a difference between a MONSTER and a human? He may be sheltered, but I'm sure he's not so uneducated. I actually like him. He's weird but quiet, and in a non creepy way. I love that. XD

Sucks that this ep ended on a cliffhanger though. It's only ep3. Geez.

Kiva is Wataru, there is no taking over or personality change, he is acting by instinct from the second a FanGire approaches, but that´s still him. I´m very fond of the way, Kogashi described it one page before:

One has to remember that he only recently decided to live life without acting like he's allergic to the world. He's still very much a child who has been kept inside the little world made for him. The second even the smallest bit of that world is destroyed, how is he supposed to react?

Wataru is not wimpy, he is just very unsure and naive on how to face the world around him, and a bit eccentric. Until now, he barely had contact to other people, he lived in a little bubble, until Megumi rather offbeat brought him to earth. Now, he has to learn to stand on his own feet. If you were not talking to people, you won´t be able to speak fluently and if you had no contact, you won´t know how to behave, right? What he needs is self-confidence and acceptation, a wimp might not be even brave enough to stand up and go for it, how we now see Wataru trying to.

I rather see the way Wataru gets serious when a FanGire approaches and wakes up his instincts, as proof that he is a pretty tough young man, just hidden under a thick nutshell of insecurity, which he has to learn to break down. I love that character, Wataru is very interesting.

I'm sort of disappointed in this episode as I was hoping to learn more about Castle Dran from the end of the previous episode. It was pointless to see the inside of the Castle Dran and stop the episode there but not talk about it in the next episode. I think there's more to Otoya's action as Yuri was with him when he did those things. I wonder if the lawyer is the Moth Fanguire.

I've been thinking this for a while. The opening and other images of Kiva seem to portray a personality that seems a lot different from Wataru's. I can't help but wonder if Kiva will eventually have a berserker mode
