Pretty Cure
I have a bunch of friends constantly insisting i should watch this franchise. what i was wondering is if TV-Nihon will be subbing every season, or if it was subbed by someone else, or if there's any other way i could watch it, because whether i like it or not, my friends will keep pestering me until i give it a chance.

Re: Pretty Cure
Eh, let's see. Obviously we're doing 5 and HeartCatch, but as for the other series...
The original Precure season is licensed, and I beliiiiieve it's sequel Max Heart is as well, however it hasn't gotten around to being aired yet.
Splash Star is being subbed by Splash Subs.
Fresh Precure is being done by the lovely team over at CureCom, who are also doing a sterling job getting a lot of the movies done.
As for every season, it really doesn't matter where you start off. Each season is seperate, really, with two exceptions: Max Heart is a sequel to the original, and Precure 5 GoGo is, obviously, a sequel to Precure 5. I'd recommend either HeartCatch or Fresh as a starting point. They're both pretty true to the formula, and Fresh has a more mature art style whereas HeartCatch is a bit more cartoony and... 'zany' is a horrible word, but I think it applies here.

Re: Pretty Cure
You can watch the original Pretty Cure streaming at Funimation (http://www4.funimation.com/video/?page=show&b=276), Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/pretty-cure) or CrunchyRoll (http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Pretty_Cure), though the audio quality is horrible and the subs lag by a second or so. If you get fed up with the blatant not caring-ness of whoever produced the official subs, there's always Google. I'm usually pro-official subs, but these are just too horrible.

Re: Pretty Cure
Sad part is, I believe that Toei actually did the official subbing for the subs at CR, etc.
Yellow font and translation errors aside, anyways.

Re: Pretty Cure
If the official subber was Toei, that makes it even sadder that the quality is so low. Yellow font I don't mind too much, though the size is a bit intrusive, but the audio is horrible and the lag in the subs is offputting. If it was really Toei, they don't seem to care very much.

Re: Pretty Cure
Yes CureCom does amazing subs but they're slow to release. They are currently subbing Fresh Precure and Precure 5 GoGo.
Pretty Cure(the first one), Max Heart, and Splash Stars can be found using google.
Yes! Precure 5 can be found subbed up to ep. 28, past that all I can find are RAWs.
Hope this helps.

So, has anyone heard anything about Suite? Like, is it any good and such?

Re: Pretty Cure
I think Suite is okay at the moment. The thing with Suite is the dynamic between the two Cures that they tend to argue with each other a lot which their power comes from being harmonized with each other. So most of the episodes are based around them trying to make up so they can defeat the Negatone (Monster of the Week). There's an evil fairy this time around and beware of the Precure fairy Hummy. It maybe a bit annoying.

Just sharing what I think about Heartcatch PreCureConan_Edogawa wrote:I have a bunch of friends constantly insisting i should watch this franchise. what i was wondering is if TV-Nihon will be subbing every season, or if it was subbed by someone else, or if there's any other way i could watch it, because whether i like it or not, my friends will keep pestering me until i give it a chance.
I watched the 1st episode a few months back, but didn't continue watching it for various reasons
The opening song is really catchy though
I can still remember it even now
"You count the medals, one, two, and three! Life goes on, anything goes, coming up OOO!"
Re: Pretty Cure
Smile Precure will be dubbed as Glitter Force by Saban.

Re: Pretty Cure
I just want to say that it may not happen. There hasn't been any confirmation about it from Saban except for trademarking Glitter Force.

Re: Pretty Cure
I'm slightly disturbed by saban trademarking it now. I hope they don't dub it with corny lines.
