Re: GekiRanger Movie released
are there no martial arts fans here? no one saw that this movie was in a sense a homage to Enter the Dragon? No one? the Bruce Lee statue should have helped! I'm sorry I just get really excited when it comes to Bruce, he was one of the reasons why I started martial arts, especially with Enter the Dragon.
edit: I seriously hope both of those mechs are made out of carbon fiber.

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
^wow, it's been so long since I've seen Enter The Dragon that I didn't even really notice.
Did anyone else read what style other people in the tournament were using? One of them was using Yoga. Is yoga really it's own fighting style, because I've only seen it done as stretching?

YUP!
I think there was Judo, Kenpo, Capoiera, Boxing, Kendo, and some others, I think Lao Fang would go under Wushu.gekiwaza wrote:Did anyone else read what style other people in the tournament were using? Great film, great subbing, great work. I really liked the different styles match ups, but would've liked to seen more from the Luchador wrestler.

My guesses:Saejima Kouga wrote:I'm wondering why they didn't use the additional beasts in the movie. IE: Bat to make GekiRinBatTouja to fly after the Mechkungfu guy.
Firstly for dramatic effect, secondly because they never combined any of their mecha formations in the series (other than SaiDaiGekiRinTouja), and thirdly because the Bat component wasn't compatible with the Rin components to the base GekiTouja costume. Regarding whoever said the toys weren't compatible, I've seen pictures that prove they are.
That's the way the movie exclusives have always been, they only make one or two appearances in the main series. The only exceptions I know of being Hurricanger's TriCondor to make TenraiSenpuujin, which was in the series regularly, and Deka's DekaBuggy, which was not in the series at all.windfalcon wrote:I guess my bigest thing with the series is that RinLion and RinChameleon didn't get used outside of like... two battles. Which is a shame, since I would've loved to see an evil Gattai versus good Gattai fight. *shrugs* Ah well.. still, great job guys ^^ Keep up the great work.

You forgot that they formed GekiBatToujaWolf in one episode. If you count that one considering it can be it own seperate mecha.Drago11 wrote: My guesses:

Thanks for answering my question I honestly didn't know if the toys were compatible. I figured they were but wasn't 100%.

Whoops, forgot about that one. The idea about the costumes still holds water, though.
No prob.

But I wonder why that old man still lose since he absorbed Ki from Rio, Mele, Retsu, Ran and other Kung Fu master.

...Because the good guys always win in shows made for kids? Or because he didn't absorb Jan's? Or the Ki he absorbed from the fighters by themselves is different then when they fight as a team? Or because the good guys always win in shows made for kids?

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
I meant to point this out a while ago, but forgot to do it... It looks to me like this was intended to be a parody of Enter The Dragon... It's dead on in a number of places.

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
If you guys were to see both movies, you'd know.
MechKungFu was where that doctor was using machinery/robots for his Jyuken I thought?
UchuuKenpou/Jyuken/KungFu/whatever is an alien/space technique. Thus the "Uchuu".
