You know, when I was a kid, I watched a lot of Sesame Street. I remember they used to do a live show with people in the Muppet suits and I have vague memories of attending one once
I actually just yesterday received the HeartCatch Vocal Best CD, so there were a lot of character songs that I hadn't heard until I saw the musical
My favorite scene is definitely the one with the fairies. It's so God damn cute. Coupe-sama is exactly how you'd imagine him looking and behaving

Re: Heartcatch Precure Musical Show
I was surprised at how much I liked that.
My biggest issue was that they didn't let Yuri transform. I would have been less disappointed had they not given her a dance number at the end when she was in costume. Granted it was a good dance number.
I mean if The Great MacGuffin Tree can summon the fairies from the future to help Tsubomi and co. to transform, why can't it restore Yuri's HeartSeed briefly for the fight? Yuri took on Dark PreCure by herself anyway, they might as well have. It also seemed like a little wasted opportunity for a character moment for her, to have her powers back only to have them-once again-taken away.
I guess they didn't want the ending to be bittersweet.
Other than that and some of the dancing being off, the show was lots of fun.

Yeah, I guess the problem is the musical came out before her restoration, guess they didn't want to show anything to take away from her actual comeback in the anime

That's weird then; Because, that whole "I am your shadow" thing didn't appear until Moonlight's restoration and DarkPC quoted it during this.takenoko wrote:Yeah, I guess the problem is the musical came out before her restoration,

I thought Dark Precure was talking about that shadow stuff pretty early on

This is a pretty cool gem. So might I ask if this opens up the possibility of some of the Rider Stage shows being released by TVN?

Re: Heartcatch Precure Musical Show
Pretty adorable show, although the multiple repeats of the opening theme almost killed my affection for the song. The Sunakkii doubling as kuroku was clever, and the fairies were hilarious. That segment got even better when Coupe's eyes started moving.
The doll-costumes are very interesting. Sasorina, Dark Precure and the Desertorians were especially good. (I think a general rule of thumb is that the longer the hair, the more it was likely to look straggly.) I was impressed that the Precures were able to do the hand and arm motions from the henshin sequence.
It was a real treat to see the lyrics to some of the other background/image songs. Special*Colorful had really cute lyrics. As for the performances, I think Kudou Mayu is clearly the stronger singer. She sounded consistently good on all the songs, even the ones that weren't originally hers to perform. It sounded like Ikeda Aya struggled a lot more, and her final dress was really strange. Was she supposed to be Little Bo Peep?
Honorary vocal award goes to Sasorina, for "singing" the background vocals to Tomorrow Song. That was funny. The curtain call was handled very nicely, between the medley and the switch-out between the civilian and transformed forms.
Was Shin-san voiced by Koji Yusa? I swear he sounded just like Urataros.

Yup, that's Yusa. And Yukihime was Toyoguchi Megumi
